In 1981 the Ebert Silva Touring Company was selected to provide transport to queen Elizabath the second and her entourage when they visited Polonnaruwa in her 2nd visit to Sri Lanka.

In the year 1994 a fleet of brand new cars (30) were introduced to Hilton Colombo taxi line being the first company in Sri lanka to introduce such a fleet as a taxi line
